Episode 1: Life Raft
We meet Ocean, a single mom of two, as she moves into the three flat apartment building. Despite its dilapidated state, the apartment, and the independence that it represents, delights her. Touring her new building, Ocean meets Lupe, her boisterous Latina neighbor, and Peggy, crudely tagged the ‘Avon Lady’. Through their quick and witty banter, we see right away that Ocean and Lupe will become fast friends. Ocean’s feelings of tranquility are dashed when she becomes the surprise guardian of her troubled niece, Trina.

What am i entitled to as a single mum?
Published by admin on January 25, 2012Im about to leave my husband and be a Single Mum, my little girl is 3 months old.Im moving out of the family home with my baby and looking at renting a property but i haven’t got any savings to fall back on what am i entitled to? many thanks
I am from the uk and no i do not work.
you will be entitled to income support and housing benifit and will be able to put your name on the council housing list, however its pretty hard to get a council house at the moment so your probbably better off renting privately. i rent a house at £500pm and get £368 housing benifit and council tax paid in full. there is a great website, entitledto.gov which gives you an estimate of what you will be entitled to. good luck x
