Especially children. I hear vicious attacks all the time againsts childrens’ appearance…I mean people are just so cruel. My younger cousin happens to be autistic and slightly disfigured. It amazes me how many people say "oh that is one ugly child" or "wow is she ok?" She can’t freakin’ help it! I mean chubby kids CAN help being chubby, their parents need to stop feeding them fattening foods, but not disfigured children.
Dude, that’s just the way society is today. They make fun of people with all kiknds of diseases and disorders because theyre not like the ones that are non disabled. Which is so f***ing stupid because you can’t judge a person on how they look. Judge a person by how nice they are.
Some people are just stupid @$$es and need to lighten the f*** up. Ignore them.

My husband and I have been truly blessed in our lives. We are both fairly young, he is 26 and I am 21 but we are interested in looking into foster parenting within the next few years. He is currently in the military and unlike many military families, he doesn’t have to bounce around much. I’d love to know what some peoples experiences with foster care are and what might help us make a final decision on whether or not this is for us.
My mother did foster care for several years before just adopting all the kids she brought in. She ended up with 12 kids in her house. The holidays are always a riot.
From seeing what she’s gone through, the cons of foster parenting appear to be: Children with emotional issues that are hard to control or even figure out; children that were molested at some point and in turn molest other children (I would strongly advise that if you take in a child who has been molested, do not take in any kids that are younger or more vulnerable than that child); and becoming close to children that are only going to be with you for a short amount of time.
Some of the pros are: Being rewarded with the knowledge that you are providing a child with a healthy, stable family life and getting to know and bond with different kids with different personalities.

I know that there are some stresses, like attending all the house chores and work related issues while tending to the child at the same time. But I was just trying to complile a list of things. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I was a single mom of four girls. I worked 40+ hrs a week and went to school three days a week. After all that, I picked up the kids, cooked, cleaned, bathed them, put them to bed, and then I studied, then went to bed and got up and did the same thing over.
A single mom does not have backup right there, single income,& less time to themselves.
