Different types of horse rugs this year
Published by admin on June 28, 2011The weather has been a little bizarre recently! We’ve had tropical weather one minute reaching to almost 30 degrees ( I don’t know about your horses but mine were looking very miserable) and the next minute it’s been rain, thunder and even lightening. Luckily it should mean the grass will grow quite fast though. The problem I’ve found though is that you end up needing a lot of different types of horse rugs. I don’t know about you but I normally put all my rugs away in storage and just keep to had fly rugs and summer turnouts in the summer but I’ve found that I’ve needed lots of different types of horse rugs. At one point I’ve even put a medium turnout on my horses which in June isn’t good! It went so cold that I used different types of horse rugs every single day.
Luckily at the moment my horses are back in fly rugs, as it’s nice weather but unfortunately the flies are back with vengeance but at least my different types of rugs will hopefully be put away into the autumn comes.
