Ok i have a friend who is struggling through depression and as much as i can help it most definitely isn’t enough. im wondering how i can convince her to talk to her parents as they are the only ones that i know can help her because it is because of what they do that shes depressed. PLEASE HELP ME!!
This happened to one of my friends too. Look, if she really doesn’t want to talk to her parents… then somebody has to do it for her. They may hate you for a while after but they will come back later to congratulate you. You could try something such as the school counselors. You could even try yourself to contact the parents yourself. Just remember that you have to make them realize that whatever happens, you are there for them. Stop them and tell them this: "Stop and look at me. You are beautiful and nothing will stop you in this world. You are who you are and nothing shall harm you. Just keep on moving forward and things will get better." Good Luck

Tonights show Spurred by An 11 yr old boy throwing a tantrum in the nail salon because he couldnt understand why he couldnt get his toes painted like his sis & mom brings up the question: Are Single Mothers to Blame for the Soft Socialization of its Boys leading to boys not knowing how to be “MEN.” Or is it this ignorant idea of “Manhood” which causes uncaring, calloused men to become deadbeats dads in the first place? Our society is in shambles. Is this attributed to the massive abandonment of fathers, or the over abundance of single mothers? Did this abandonment arise out of inherent problems which exist in the current socialization of boyz into these uber non-communicative, emotionless “tough-guys” who end up leaving their kids. Are we creating these MONSTERS? And as long as there are no fathers will we have more of these “Men?” Or will we have a Society of Sissies? Journey with me as we explore what it means to be a “MAN.” & whether this is helping or hindering us.
