Are parents who help with job searches too involved in their children’s lives? Like helicopter parents.
Of course that depends on the nature of the help. If it is their first job they are looking for…say they are 15…if you can give them tips on where to apply, how to apply, go over their resume and help them design it, discover the things they’ve done that are good to put on it, give them interview tips etc…then that is fine. If you are going out and putting in their resumes or going up to the boss with them and talking for them etc, then that is wrong. It is too involved and it is over protective and rediculous. You can’t get directly involved in their job search…they have to be mature enough and independant enough to do that themselves or how will they manage to do a job.

I am prego with my ex’s baby, my parent’s kicked me out of the house. My BF wants me to live in with him and his parent’s. He wants to help raise the baby like it was his. Even his parent’s are excited. They will even feed us and buy the clothes I want a home for me and the baby, but I don’t want to destroy his life. What should I do?
We are 15 by the way.
He is the one who offered you to raise the baby. you should accept it because it is the best thing that you could do for your baby. and the great thing is his parents agreed. you wouldn’t destroy his life if you accepted. your bf is really willing raise the baby. this guy really cares about you and I think accepting his offer would make everyone happy.

The older child is 15-16. The younger is 12-13. The younger child is going through a lot of problems with her friends, social pressure, arguments, etc. She goes home and ask her older sister for advise on how to deal with that situation. The older child has no idea on how to help her. The parents know about that. They say to the older child "If your sister has a problem, you should be able to help her. You are older. It is your responsibility." I disagree. It is the parents’ responsibility to help the younger child, not the older child’s responsibility. They expect the older child to do their job while they as parents NEVER know or ask what they younger child is going through in life, school, etc. The parents are home every night and act like they don’t care that they younger child has problems and expect the older child to do their job. Why do parents do that?
i believe the older child should help the younger one but it is not his/her responsiblity since they still have parents. But in this situations i see no difference in thier age, they are of same age bracket.one thing is that every child emulates the xter of the older siblings at home. However every parents should learn to ask how well their kids behvave both in school and outside school thats is why they are called parents. they should not only provide money they should show they care.that is what parenting is all about. ability to care, love and provide everything that will make the home peaceful and comfortable.
