In Australia, i have 2 young baby’s and i have just recieved all my bills at once and am unable to pay for all of them i really need some help with maybe a loan but i think my credit rating might be only ok not great.

What is all this rubbish with overseas loans?

I feel your pain and im sure things are tight already so first thing id do is contact your service providers and tell them your struggling, on all my bills they have a hardship or problem paying phone line.

Theres no shame in speaking to them, we all hit hard times and they might be able to offer you an extension or a manageable payment plan.

Also and this is hard but you need to look at making some changes to cope with bills, best thing ive ever done is add up all my bills over three months and work out the average cost for varibles such as Power, water etc. Say on average $100 per quarter?

So add all these up and then divide this by 12 weeks and this is the amount you need to put away into a seperate bills account.

It wont be a lot, maybe 20/ 30 pw but if you can cope with this and not touch it will make the mountain of difference when they come in.

And after a few weeks you’ll get used to it and the money is there to sort out the bills.

Also maybe consider shopping at Audi and skimping on the luxurys for a couple of weeks to get on top of things.

Id honestly look at credit as the absoulte last resort, it is an evil that is going to haunt you for a long time if your doing it tough.

Also the Salvos etc sometimes offer bills help if your doing it tough.

You haven’t actually asked a question, but I will take a guess that you are looking for ideas on how you can get your bills paid when you don’t have the money.
Well, immediately it is a little tough…perhaps you can call up the companies you owe money to and make other payment arrangements for now. That’s the short term. Long term, you need more money. What about doing daycare in your home or selling things on Ebay or that sort of thing. Sorry I can’t be of mroe help…Im not in Australia so I don’t know what government programs may be avaialable for you there, but perhaps you can check into that sort of thing.

I would first approach the companies who have sent you the bills, yes this time of year can be bad, and ask them either for an extention or payment plan, explain your situation, this is far better than ignoring them and if you can look at selling things on e-bay to make a few extra bucks without leaving your kids.

    Good luck.

If you have a good job or repayment plan, you can ask for a loan at your
credit union or Prosper. People may help you. From
