what can i do with my kid that throws tantrums everywhere?

Published by admin on June 30, 2010

I have a boy that’s a year and a half old and he throws his little anger Tantrums everywhere we go and I never give him what he wants because I don’t want him to be very ‘caprichudo’ what should i do!

I oldest son tried having a tantrum but only once. We were in the grocery store. As we turned down one of the aisles, he saw a child ‘ptiching a fit’ because of something he wanted and his mother said no but he finally got his way. My son and I kept walking and then he tried this trick when we went down the cereal aisle. He wanted a certain cereal, I told him "no", he threw himself on the floor and began screaming. I just looked at him and kept walking. I reached the end of the aisle, went around the end (completely out of his site), stopped and looked to see if he had stopped yet. I saw him look around, get up and come running to the end of the aisle and stopped when he saw me. I just looked at him and said "don’t you ever try that again. When I tell you No I mean it and that’s that!" That was the one and only time he ever tried that trick.
It sounds like you do ignore him and that’s exactly what you should do. Continue this and sooner or later he will stop – it’s probably just a phase.

whats a funny thing your kid has done latley?

Published by admin on June 30, 2010

best answer gets 10 points?

My son is 2 1/2 and his latest saying is "So, what are you doing?" and when you tell him he says "Can I help?". This has been going on for about a week or so with everything –

Him – So, what are you doing
Me – Putting away laundry
Him – Can I help.

Well the other day my husband came home from work and had to go straight into the bathroom. I was in the bedroom and we were having a conversation through the wall, when my son decided to join in…..

"So daddy, what are you doing?"
"Going potty."
"Can I help?"

We laughed so hard I though I was going to throw up! So innocent!

If you’re to afraid to tell your parents that you’re pregnant but want to get an abortion will the clinic help?

If you’re to afraid to tell your parents that you’re pregnant but want to get an abortion will the clinic help?
And if you do get an abortion does it go on your medical record?
If you’re to afraid to tell your parents that you’re pregnant but want to get an abortion will the clinic help?
And if you do get an abortion does it go on your medical record?
This is for a friend who is only 13, and lives in Georgia.

Well, the rules about abortion are different depending on where you live. In some states, a minor can legally get an abortion without telling her parents. In others, there are parental consent or parental notification laws. Parental consent means that you will need to get permission from a parent if you are under a certain age, usually 18. Parental notification means that you will have to tell a parent if you are under a certain age, usually 18, but you don’t need their permission in order to get the abortion; you can get the abortion whether they object to it or not. You just have to tell them about it.

This website lists all of the parental consent and parental notification laws for every state in the U.S. as of January 2010:

http://www.positive.org/Resources/consent.html

In Georgia, parental notification is required.

If you are thinking about getting an abortion and live in a state where there is a parental consent/notification law, it’s a good idea to call a clinic in your state (or call the Abortion Hotline at 1-800-772-9100) and talk with someone about your options. Usually you can get around telling your parents by going to a clinic in a state without these restrictions or by explaining your situation to a judge (this is called a judicial bypass). But this can take time, so call right away.

In a judicial bypass, a judge basically signs the parental consent/parental notification papers for you, so you don’t have to tell your parents. For more information on how to get a judicial bypass, just go here:

http://www.positive.org/JustSayYes/JudicialBypass.htm

Abortions typically cost anywhere from $350-$1,000 in the first trimester, depending on where you live and where you choose to have the abortion done. If you don’t have the money to pay for the abortion, then my best advice is to go to your local Planned Parenthood. The doctors and counselors at Planned Parenthood can definitely help you get the services you need. They won’t turn you away or refuse to give you an abortion, even if you can’t pay for it. Planned Parenthood offers low-cost or free abortions to women who cannot afford to pay the normal price of an abortion. If you go to your local Planned Parenthood health care center and just tell them that you have no job, no money, no support, and cannot afford to pay for an abortion, they will just make you fill out some paperwork about your current financial status and then make you pay about $100 for the abortion or whatever you can reasonably afford, based on your income. (If you are under 18, they might even be able to arrange for you to have the abortion for free.) To find the Planned Parenthood nearest you, just go to the Planned Parenthood website and type in your zipcode (on the front page):

http://www.plannedparenthood.org

Also, everything that happens at Planned Parenthood is completely confidential. They won’t put it on your medical record. They won’t notify your parents or discuss your abortion procedure with anyone else. Legally, they CAN’T tell anyone else about your abortion, due to doctor-patient confidentiality laws. So don’t worry about that.

Best of luck. I hope that helped!
