   I don’t have much interaction with single parents. The two that are really good friends of my FI’s (men) both say that they rather date women with children. They feel that these women understand when they have to spend the weekends with their children or when they have child related activities that prevent them from doing other stuff.

   One guy dated a girl for about a year and left her because according to him she just couldn’t deal with him having a son and understand that in some cases, his son was going to come first.

    I’m a single dad and I can say it just depends. If he and your kids get along well then you’re all set. In fact it might even be an advantage if you both have kids because you have common ground to relate to each other.
    Single women may sound like a good choice because they carry no other responsibilities but that doesn’t mean they’ll make a good mate.
    As long as there’s harmony with everyone involved then single parents can be together and have a great new family.
